Target Reaction Test
Watch the box. When the target appears, move to it and click as fast as you can — it measures your eyes, your decision and your mouse hand together.

How the target reaction test works
Click the box to start a round. After a random pause of one to four seconds a target appears somewhere inside it. The timer starts the moment the target is drawn and stops when you click on it — clicks next to it are ignored. Clicking before the target appears is a false start and that round is repeated.
Five rounds give you an average, your fastest and slowest times and a bar for each round. Because the target position changes every time, the test mixes three skills: noticing the target, deciding to move, and moving the pointer accurately.
What the result tells you
If your times here are much slower than in the simple reaction time test, the extra time is spent moving and aiming. That part improves quickly with practice, a comfortable sensitivity and a good mouse grip. For longer training sessions, try the aim trainer.
Tips
- Keep the pointer near the centre of the box between rounds.
- Look at the whole box instead of following the pointer.
- Move in one smooth motion and correct only at the end.
